Women's Tennis Cruises Past Columbia College; 9-0

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Anderson University women's tennis team cruised past nonconference opponent Columbia College; 9-0, on Monday afternoon in Columbia, S.C.

With the win, Anderson improves to 9-2 overall while Columbia falls to 1-2 on the season. The Trojans have won five straight matches.

Anderson swept the doubles portion winning each match 8-0 to give the Black and Gold a 3-0 advantage heading into singles play.

The Trojans continued their dominate play in the singles only losing a total of six games. Sophomores Jacqueline Olivia and Jennifer Holcombe each blanked their opponent on their way to straight set wins.

Anderson returns to action on Wednesday when it host South Atlantic Conference powerhouse Wingate. First serve is slated for 2 p.m.
