Box Score

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Anderson University volleyball middle blocker Hailey Pittman has been named the AstroTurf South Atlantic Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday morning.

Pittman helped lead the Trojans to three South Atlantic Conference victories last week, including two wins on the road. The 5-foot-11 middle blocker knocked down 51 kills (3.64/set) over the three-game span as AU gained sole possession of third place in the conference standings. Pittman posted a .331 hitting percentage and tallied 61.5 points, while recording 15 total blocks on the week and adding eight digs and a pair of service aces.

She recorded her eighth straight double-figure kill match, and 14th of the season, with a season-high 24 kills in the five-set win at Tusculum, while adding three digs and five total blocks at Pioneer Arena.

Pittman leads the league with a .411 hitting percentage and 273 total kills on the season, while ranking second in the SAC by averaging 3.50 kills per set. She ranks third in block assists (70), total blocks (81) and blocks per set (1.04/set).

"Hailey is having an incredible season and we are all proud of this recognition," said Anderson head coach Craig Mosqueda. "Hailey has had very impressive numbers all year and that can be attributed to her hard work this summer and to the support from her teammates."

Pittman claims honor for the third time in her career, after earning the accolade prior to the first meeting versus Brevard last season and earlier this season.

Brevard invades the Abney Athletic Center tonight for a South Atlantic Conference matchup, with first-serve versus the Tornados scheduled for 7 p.m.
