JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Anderson volleyball team used a
balanced offensive attack to sweep Carson-Newman, 3-0 (25-20,
25-14, 25-19) in South Atlantic Conference action Saturday
afternoon at Holt Fieldhouse.
Anderson snapped a two-match skid en route to improving to 11-12

The Trojans jumped out to an early 8-2 lead in the first set,

the Eagles' Sabina Papala, senior Tiffany Rowe knocked down a kill
and the Eagles committed another error as Anderson claimed the set
win.
Anderson also led the second frame wire-to-wire, closing the set
on a 12-1 run that turned a narrow 13-12 lead into the victory.
Rowe ignited the outburst with one of her six kills on the day,
while sophomore Shannon Gillespie notched five kills, including the
final point of the set.
