ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day by dropping just one set en route to rolling past Barton, 8-1, Saturday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Tennis Courts. Anderson (10-7, 7-3 Conference Carolinas) won its second consecutive match and third in its last four, while Barton (7-12, 4-6 CC) dropped its third straight and fourth in its last five outings. Anderson gained a 2-1 edge with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 slots, the duos of Marcela Gallegos/Shelby Anderson and Emily Weiland/Angie Solorzano each claimed their second straight wins. Anderson's Emily Weiland blanked Barton's Sarah Dice 6-0, 6-0, for her fifth straight singles win, while Julie Halbert stretched her win streak to four matches with a 6-0, 6-0 win past Kristen Packer at No. 5 singles.
