SPARTANBURG, S.C. -- The Anderson women's basketball team
extended its winning streak to five games with a 60-43 Conference
Carolinas' road win past Converse Thursday night at the Weisiger
Center. Anderson improved to 15-9 overall and 14-5 in the
Conference Carolinas, while Converse suffered its fourth straight
setback and fifth of its last six games, falling to 4-20 overall
and 4-15 in league action. "This was a really good team win
tonight," Anderson head coach Jim Brunelli said. "The start of the
second half was the key and our defense created our offense.
Everyone contributed tonight." Anderson will get back on the
hardwood Saturday when the Trojans visit league-leading Barton.
Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at Wilson Gym.
