FRANKLIN SPRINGS, GA. – Anderson University Softball notched its fourth-straight victory on the season in back-to-back victories, 10-0 and 6-4, at Emmanuel Monday afternoon.
 
"This was a full team win." said head coach Kelly Roberts. "We played complete softball, stayed locked in, and fed off each other's energy to get two big wins at Emmanuel."
 
The Black and Gold surged past Emmanuel with five at the start of the first game in the doubleheader. Senior Carson Hobbs (Nicholson, Ga.) notched a double for two RBI followed by sophomore Chloe Maness (Belton, S.C.) with a single for two more runs added to the Trojan's final tally. Rounding out the top of the first, Maness stole second for sophomore Chaney Crosby (Six Mile, S.C.) to score. At the top of the second, senior Lauren Brakovec (Farragut, Tenn.) and junior Kadence Barrick (Phenix City, Ala.) each batted a single for two Trojans to score. In the top of the third, freshman Kara Davis (Duncan, S.C.) scored off a ground out. Rounding out the clean sheet in game one for the Black and Gold was a double by sophomore Laney Price (Flowery Branch, Ga.) with a double for freshman Lily Davenport (Wetumpka, Ala.) to score followed by a single from freshman Jolie Davis (Anderson, S.C.) with a run scored by Maness.
 
At bat, Brakovec went 1-for-1 to lead the Trojans with two runs. K. Davis also added two runs to Anderson's total. On the pitcher's mound senior Katie Morris (Valley, Ala.) added another victory to her 3-1 record on the season. She tallied 5 strikeouts on the game with only two hits for a clean sheet.
 
In game two, Anderson took the lead early with a single by Brakovec form senior Shelby Bandt (Ft. Valley, Ga.) to score on an error in the field. AU scored three runs in the top of the third after a single by Hobbs and two sacrifice flies. A grounded out to second base for a run put Emmanuel on the board late in the bottom of the fourth. Anderson responded in the fifth inning with a single by K. Davis for Maness to score before Harbour scored on an error by third base. The Lions surged to four late in the game with a homer in the bottom of the sixth, recording three RBI.
 
Bandt led the Trojans at bat going 3-for-4 with two runs and one walk. On the mound, freshman Kora Kilgore (Smithville, Tenn.) recorded her second victory of the season to advance her record to 2-2. She pitched all seven innings, recording four strikeouts and only allowing four hits and four runs for a 5.63 ERA on the day.
