ATLANTA, GA. – Anderson University Softball (3-3) evened up its season record with a sweep over nonconference opponent Clark Atlanta (1-3), winning game one, 13-1 (5) and taking game two, 3-0, on Friday afternoon at Lady Panther Field.
On the day, the Trojans collected 19 hits producing 16 runs to push its overall series record to, 14-0, over Clark Atlanta.
Junior
Lauren Brakovec went 4-7 while sophomore
Jenna Davis batted 3-for-6 combing game one and game two at-bats. Senior
Shelby Bandt went 3-for-3 with junior
Carson Hobbs collecting two hits out of three at-bats in game one.
Sophomore
Katie Morris (1-1) got the nod in game one scattering six hits while striking out five. Hobbs (1-0) earned the game two victory to snag her first win of the young season.
Anderson return to action on Saturday when it host nonconference opponent Southern Wesleyan. First pitch of the doubleheader is slated for 12pm.
