COLUMBUS, GA. – Anderson men's tennis (7-2) took their first loss of the spring semester on Sunday afternoon against the No. 5-ranked Columbus State Cougars (1-0) by a 7-0 score at the John W. Walden Tennis Center.
In doubles play, the Cougars grabbed a 1-0 lead in the team match with a trio of victories. The closest of those matches came at No. 1, where Trojans Wynn Shioi and Vicent Mico were defeated 7-5.
Columbus State won all six singles matches in straight sets to finish the shutout. Mico was able to push his match at No. 3 to a tight 7-5, 6-4 scoreline but CSU's Camilo Cano emerged victorious.
