ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson softball had three players voted to the 2024 South Atlantic Conference Championship All-Tournament team voted by the tournament participant head coaches, the Conference announced today.

LR led the way with five players named to the All-Tournament Team, followed by Anderson with three and Wingate with two.

Seniors Hannah Whitaker, Ava Worthy and Laken Maxwell were honored for their efforts in the SAC Softball Tournament. Both Whitaker and Worthy hit three home runs and batted .400 and .348, respectively. Maxwell made the most starts (5), pitched the most innings (28.1) and recorded the most strikeouts (32) among the pitchers in the tournament.

Anderson opens its NCAA play tomorrow against the top-seeded and host Wingate. First-pitch is slated for 1 pm.
