Trojans Fall in SAC Finals to Tusculum; 2-1

ROCK HILL, S.C. No. 4 seed Anderson University fell to No. 3 seed Tusculum University, 2-1, in the SAC Championship Finals on Sunday afternoon in Rock Hill at Manchester Meadow.

The Trojans drop to 10-5-3 overall while Tusculum improves to 12-6-1 advancing to the NCAA as an automatic qualifier.


- Tusculum outshot the Trojans outshot 19-10
- The Pioneers claimed the corner kick advantage with four kicks to two
- The Pioneers edged the Black and Gold 10 -4 with shots on goal
- AU's Gal Elyashiv recorded eight saves on the afternoon
- Tusculum's Alejandro Quirit keeper was credited with three saves


- The Anderson – Tusculum series now sits at 6-6-1 all-time
- AU's Harry Ward's scored his third goal of the season
- The Pioneers halted Anderson's seven match win streak
- The Black and Gold played a total of 41 minutes with a man down
- The Trojans placed three players on the SAC All-Tournament Team. Senior Birkir Petursson, junior Colin Burris and sophomore Harry Ward


- Anderson now waits to see if it will be a selection into the NCAA Tournament
