ROCK HILL, S.C. – Junior Gigi Sompayrac (Knoxville, Tenn.) has earned a spot on the All-Conference Singles Second Team as announced by the South Atlantic Conference office on Wednesday.
Sompayrac was named to the Second Team for going 9-7 in singles this season split between the No. 1 and No. 2 positions. At No. 1 she was 6-1 and had a 3-4 record at No. 2. She had four matches left unfinished.
She was also clutch for the Trojans in doubles this season, going 13-6 overall with just one match left unfinished.
Sompayrac and her teammates will compete at the South Atlantic Conference Championships tomorrow, April 16 at 2 p.m. when they battle Newberry in the Quarterfinals.
