ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University women's basketball junior Alexy Mollenhauer was honored by The South Atlantic Conference as the AstroTurf Women's Player of the Week for games played during the week of Nov. 5 through Nov. 11, announced by the league office on Monday.
Mollenhauer opened the season up with a double-double (24 points and 12 rebounds) in a one-point loss to Clayton State in the season opener. The Lindale, Texas native followed up with a 24 point and nine rebound outing in the route of Georgia College.
The junior forward averaged a double-double for the week, 24 points and 10.5 rebounds. Mollenhauer shot 85.7 from the free throw line while adding three assists, three steals and two blocks.
The Black and Gold open up their regular season home slate on Wednesday against Young Harris. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
