Women’s Basketball is Slotted Sixth in the D2SIDA Preseason Southeast Region Media Poll

DURANGO, Colo. – The Anderson University women's basketball was slotted sixth in the Preseason Southeast Region Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, announced by the regional committee on Monday.

Anderson is the third highest rated team from the South Atlantic Conference and is one of four teams from the SAC to reach the top-10. Carson-Newman claimed the first spot while Wingate landed in the third position and Lincoln Memorial rounded out the top-10.

The Women's Basketball Division II Media Poll, sponsored by D2SIDA, is in its fifth year of existence. The regional poll is released every Monday, followed by the national poll every Tuesday. Each region has six representatives that comprise the regional poll. The national poll has 16 voters - 2 from each region.

Anderson gets underway on Thursday, Nov. 1 when it opens with an exhibition contest at NC State. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m.
