AUSTIN, Texas – Anderson University senior Kasey Grant was named to The 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Softball Team (Third-Team), as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

The Division II Google Cloud Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division II Academic All-America® teams.

Grant started all 55 games at second base for the Trojans. The native of Comer, Ala. has hit 10 doubles, two triples and three homeruns on the season. Grant's solid play at second base earned her All-SAC honorable mention, while also helping the team advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time in five years.

In the classroom, Grant carried a 4.0 GPA while majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Business, as she has been named to the Anderson University Dean's List following every semester of her collegiate career. The senior is also a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society and a member of Gamma Beta Phi, a service-based honor society.

Eighteen of the 33 members of the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-America® Division II Softball teams have at least a 3.90 G.P.A., with 11 student-athletes maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA. The 11 members of the first team have an average GPA of 3.90.
