Grant Earns South Atlantic Conference Softball Elite 20 Award

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Anderson University softball junior Kasey Grant was named the 2018 South Atlantic Conference Softball Elite 20 honoree, the League announced Saturday.

The Elite 20 award honors the student-athlete with the top cumulative grade-point average based on a minimum of 48 credit hours who is competing at the final site of each of the Conference's 20 team championship sports.

The Comer, Ala. native, boasts a 4.0 GPA as a biochemistry major. Grant is a member of Gamma Beta Phi, Anderson Science Association and Alpha Chi Honor Society. Grant has been on the Dean's List all three years as a Trojan.  A two-year member of the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, Grant has started all 48 games on the year. The second baseman has been a captain for the Black and Gold the past two seasons and garnered D-II CoSIDA Academic All-District as a sophomore.
