Duncan Earns South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C.-Anderson University softball freshman Harlie Duncan was named South Atlantic Conference AstroTurf Pitcher of the Week for games played Apr. 2 – Apr. 8, as announced by the conference office Tuesday.

The native of Tolono, Ill., went 2-0 with two complete game victories for the Trojans last week. In Anderson's 4-3 win over Lincoln Memorial, she went seven innings, allowing just one earned run on five hits with seven strikeouts. Duncan then threw a complete game shutout in the Trojan's 4-0 victory against Catawba, surrendering just one hit with five strikeouts.  

Duncan is 12-3 on the season with an ERA of 1.86.

Anderson returns to the diamond on Saturday when it travels to SAC opponent Queens. First-pitch is slated for Noon.
