Christopher “CJ” Kozlowski arrived at Anderson in 2018 from Gillette (Wyoming) College.
In nine years as the Head Coach for the Pronghorns, his teams earned countless awards for cross country, the half marathon, indoor track, and outdoor track. Kozlowski’s teams finished in the top five nationally 13 times, including winning the 2015 NJCAA Women’s Half Marathon National Championship.
The Pronghorns finished in the Top 10 nationally a total of 26 times.
In the nine years since starting the program at Gillette, Kozlowski coached 111 All-American athletes, seven National Champions, and named the NJCAA Region IX Coach of the Year six different times. In 2016, Kozlowski coached the USTFCCCA Indoor and Outdoor Track National Athlete of the Year, Festus Lagat.
Kozlowski also had tremendous academic successes with his athletes. His Gillette teams were awarded the NJCAA Academic Team of the Year a total of five times. Kozlowski’s athletes also took home a combined 51 Academic All-American individual awards.
Prior to Gillette College, Kozlowski spent time coaching in South Carolina with stints at Gaffney High School, Chester High School, and as an assistant at Limestone.
Coach Kozlowski's running career began at Limestone, where he was a two-time Academic All-Conference Carolinas runner for the Saints. He also was a member of Limestone’s Division II National Runner-Up lacrosse teams in 2004 and 2005.
Kozlowski is originally from Syracuse, N.Y. He completed his bachelor's degree in history and education at Limestone in 2006, and received his master's degree in sports management in 2010. He is married to Maggie Kozlowski, who is originally from Newberg, Ore., and the couple has one child, Hadrian.
