Hannah Budd is entering her first season as an assistant coach on the Anderson volleyball staff. Budd previously played for AU head coach Craig Mosqueda at Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. She has been active in the club volleyball scene, coaching for five years for clubs BRVC and TEVA in the Bluegrass State.
As a player, Budd was a two-time All-Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference selection at libero. She left Asbury as the school’s all-time leader in digs with 2,134 in four years. Budd was a key member of Asbury’s most successful four-year run in school history, as the Eagles won 104 matches and their only two KIAC regular-season titles in school history. Asbury advanced to the KIAC Tournament championship match in each of Budd’s four seasons and competed in the 2008 NAIA National Tournament, the only appearance in school history.
Budd received a bachelor’s degree in History from Asbury in 2011 and will begin a graduate degree program in January, 2014. She currently resides in Central, S.C. with her husband, T.J.
