ANDERSON, S.C. – On the heels of a seventh-place finish at last Tuesday’s Agnes McAmis Memorial, the Anderson University women’s golf team is slated to return to the links for the three-day Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Championship, beginning on Sunday at the Sevierville Country Club in Sevierville, Tenn.
The Trojans enter the tourney with some momentum after posting their second-best finish of the spring schedule, as they head back to the Volunteer State for the second time in less than a week.
Senior Katie Eskew paced AU with a ninth place on the day, while junior Sarah Timms shared 28th and sophomore Garyt Hamilton notched a share of 44th. Fellow sophomore Braiden Furtick finished in a tie for 50th, with junior Natalie Feder closing the afternoon in a tie for 56th.
Last year’s SAC Championship saw the Trojans finish seventh on the same course, with Feder sharing 27th, while Hamilton was 29th. Eskew notched a share of 34th Timms was 38th.
