WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD SLIPS TO SEVENTH IN SOUTHEAST REGION

NEW ORLEANS – Following the conclusion of its indoor schedule and prior to opening its outdoor slate, the Anderson University women’s track and field team slipped two spots to seventh fifth in the latest Southeast Region in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll.

The Trojans, who were fourth in the regional rankings three weeks ago before staying steady at fifth in the last two polls, will open their outdoor season at the Wingate Tri-Meet on March 8.

Fellow South Atlantic Conference member Queens continued at the top of the poll for the second consecutive week, after leaping from 13th to first two weeks ago.

Perennial powerhouse Mount Olive climbed up a slot to second with Wingate dropping to third. Clayton State remained fourth this week, while King and Limestone each moved up a notch to fifth and sixth, respectively. Mars Hill, Belmont Abbey and Barton rounded out the top 10.
