SOFTBALL TEAM ELIMINATED FROM CVAC TOURNAMENT
CONCORD, N.C. -- Lees-McRae blanked Anderson University 4-0 to eliminate the Lady Trojans from the 2006 CVAC Tournament Sunday afternoon. Earlier in the day, Maranda Sialmas had two hits and Ashley Rogers pitched to innings of shutout relief to lead Anderson to a 6-2 victory over St. Andrews Presbyterian. Saturday's schedule of games in the tournament was rained out. The tournament will be completed on Monday. Anderson ends its first season under the direction of head coach Tommy Hewitt with a record of 20-32.
