MCCRODDEN NAMED CVAC PITCHER OF THE WEEK
THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Kelly McCrodden of Anderson College (24-20 overall, 8-9 CVAC) has been selected as the CVAC women’s softball “Pitcher of the Week”. Kelly pitched a no-hitter and two shutouts in her two starts last week. Against Pfeiffer on Tuesday, she allowed just five singles in seven innings. In her start against Erskine on Thursday, she allowed no hits in the Trojan’s 8-0 victory in five innings. One error kept her victory against Erskine from being a perfect game. The two victories dropped her ERA to a season-low 2.06. The junior from Mint Hill, N.C., has allowed just two earned runs in her last 19 2/3 innings. For the week, she struck out six, walked two, and allowed seven hits in 12.7 innings of work to post a .55 ERA.
