Queens Rolls Past Anderson, 72-57

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Queens University of Charlotte took the lead late in the first half and pulled away for a 72-57 victory over Anderson University in a CVAC men's game Monday night. Queens, 15-6 overall and 9-5 in the CVAC, trailed Anderson 23-15 midway through the first half. But the Royals rallied to take a 36-31 lead at the half then steadily built their lead in the second half. Timon Farley led Queens with 16 points. He was followed by Kendrick Harris with 13 and Esau Eatman and Chris Jones with 12 apiece. Anderson's leading scorer was Tariq Naqqash with 17 points. Anderson, 4-17 overall and 2-13 in the CVAC, has lost seven straight. Queens shot 49 percent from the field while limiting Anderson to 39 percent.
