MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - Mount Olive dominated the second half to beat Anderson University 90-65 in a CVAC men's game Saturday afternoon. Leading 40-33 at the half, Mount Olive outscored Anderson 29-17 in the first 11 and a half minutes of the second half to take control of the game. Mount Olive, 9-2 overall and 3-1 in the CVAC, was led by Elton Coffield with 21 points and Melvin Creddle with 18. Elijah Rouse had a game-high 10 rebounds to lead Mount Olive's dominating performance on the boards. Mount Olive won the glass, 43-23. Anderson, 3-7 overall and 1-3 in the CVAC, was led by John LeSueur with 17 points, J.R. Howell with 13 points, and O?Tey Sellers with 12. Mount Olive shot 51 percent in the second half (20-39) to finish the game at 49 percent. Anderson finished the game at 44 percent from the field. The visiting Trojans managed just nine baskets and shot just 37 percent from the field in the second half. Mount Olive was 14-for-31 from behind the arc. Coffield and Maurice Horton, who finshed the game with 15 points, made four 3-point goals apiece.
