ANDERSON, S.C. – Steven Burroughs made a driving layup and coverted a three-point play with seven seconds remaining to give Barton College a 63-60 victory over Anderson College in a CVAC game Saturday afternoon at the Abney Center. Barton, 15-7 overall and 10-6 in the CVAC, led 31-18 at the half, but Anderson battled back in the first nine minutes of the second half to take a 42-41 lead. Joel C. Zimmerman made three 3-point goals and Travis Tate made one during the 25-10 run that gave the Trojans the lead. AC, 9-12 and 5-9, stretched its lead to five – 46-41 – on a 3-point goal by John LeSueur with 10:06 left. From that point there were three lead changes and one tie. Back-to-back field goals by John Green and Courtney Cofer gave the Bulldogs a 51-48 lead with 6:09 left.
