Barton Shuts Down AC, 67-52
January 31, 2004WILSON, N.C. -- Barton limited Anderson to 31 percent shooting from the field for the game and 20 points in the first half to beat the Trojans 67-52 in a CVAC game Saturday night. Barton, 11-5 overall and 6-4 in the CVAC, was led by Derek Becton with 13 points and John Green with 11. Anderson, 7-9 and 3-6, did not have a player in double figures. Joel C. Zimmerman and John LeSueur had nine points apiece for AC. Barton led 31-20 at the half and built a 26-point lead -- 53-27 -- in the second half. The Bulldogs shot 52 percent in the first half and finished the game at 50 percent (27-54).
