Zimmerman Named CVAC Player Of The Week
December 16, 2003THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Joel C. Zimmerman of Anderson College (5-2 overall, 2-0 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) men’s basketball Player of the Week. Zimmerman, a 6-foot-3 senior from Knoxville, Tenn., showed versatility and accuracy as he scored a career-high 28 points in AC’s 83-71 victory over Newberry. Zimmerman knocked down 10-of-14 from the field, 5-of-8 from 3-point range, and 3-of-4 from the line to continue the Trojan’s best start as a four-year program. Zimmerman leads AC in scoring and is ranked among CVAC leaders in scoring at 16 points per game.
