Seabrook Makes Seven Treys, AC Rolls Past L-M

ANDERSON, S.C. - Robbie Seabrook made seven 3-point goals and scored a game-high 28 points to lead Anderson College to an 84-50 victory over Lees-McRae in a Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference men's game Tuesday night at the Abney Center. Seabrook, a senior from North Charleston, S.C., 1,194 career points and 226 3-point goals in his career. He is 22 for 39 from behind the arc in AC's last three games. The victory was Anderson's fourth straight and improves the Trojans to 9-17 overall and 7-12 in the CVAC. During the winning streak, Seabrook has averaged 25.2 points per game. Seabrook was the lone Anderson player in double figures. Lees-McRae, 2-26 and 1-17, was led by William Chapman with 16 points. He was the only Lees-McRae player in double figures. Lees-McRae shot just 28 percent from the field, the second-lowest figure by an Anderson opponent this season. Anderson limited North Greenville to 27 percent from the field on Dec. 14. The Bobcats dictated the pace early by playing some four corners against Anderson's zone. At the 11:09 mark of the first half, Anderson led 12-7. Anderson led 26-13 at the half and opened the second half with a 24-6 run to increase its lead to 50-19 with 12:26 remaining. In the final 10 minutes, Anderson head coach Doug Novak cleared his bench. Twelve of Anderson's 13 players played 10 or more minutes and 12 AC players scored in the game. After shooting just 35 percent in the first half, Anderson shot 65 percent (22 of 34) in the second half to finish the game at 52 percent.
