Pfeiffer Run In Second Half Dooms AC

MISENHEIMER, N.C. Ė Pfeiffer outscored Anderson 33-3 in the first 14 minutes of the second half and cruised to a 92-70 victory in a CVAC menís game Tuesday night. Anderson jumped out to a 22-8 lead and led 46-42 at the half, but after Donielle Davis hit a 3-point basket in the first minute of the second half, the Trojans went stone cold. AC shot just 25 percent from the field (9-36) in the second half. For the game, Pfeiffer shot 52 percent from the field, while AC managed just 38 percent. AC took six more shots -- 72-66 -- than Pfeiffer. In addition to the shooting percentage, the biggest difference in the game was bench scoring. Pfeiffer's bench outscored AC's bench, 41-9. Pfeiffer was led by Raymond McKeithan with 20 points, Rico Grier with 15 points, and Kenny Mickens with 14. AC's Robbie Seabrook led all scorers with 29 points. He made six 3-point goals and also had six rebounds. Davis scored 19 points and grabbed six rebounds in 18 minutes before fouling out. The victory improves Pfeiffer to 11-4 overall and 5-3 in the CVAC. The loss ends ACís modest three-game winning streak and drops the Trojans to 5-11, 3-6.
