Trojans Keep Lees-McRae Winless In The CVAC

BANNER ELK, N.C. – Robbie Seabrook and Donielle Davis scored 26 points apiece to lead Anderson to a 75-61 victory over Lees-McRae in a CVAC game Saturday afternoon. The victory, AC's third straight, improves the Trojans to 5-10 overall and 3-5 in the CVAC. Lees-McRae falls to 1-17, 0-8. Seabrook and Davis made six 3-point goals apiece. The Trojans were 16 for 37 from behind the arc. Seabrook also had eight rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals. Davis, who was 6 for 7 from behind the arc, had seven boards, three assists, and one steal. Leading the Bobcats were Tommy Vellacott with his team-high 20 points and Milos Dimitijevic with 15 and Shawn Zellers with 10. Anderson held a 48-34 advantage at the break and led by as many as 20 points -- 59-39 -- just after the half. The Trojans shot nearly 44 percent from the field for the game compared to Lees-McRae’s 36 percent. AC had 20 assists in the game. Joel C. Zimmerman had seven assists and Joel D. Zimmerman had five.
