Trojans Win Second Straight By Spearing Knights

LAURINBURG, N.C. – Anderson College rallied from a 46-40 halftime deficit to take an 84-77 victory over St. Andrews Presbyterian in a Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference game Monday night. AC, 4-10 overall and 2-5 in the CVAC, took the lead for good on a basket by Marko Zoric with 9:26 remaining. St. Andrews, 4-10 and 1-6, trailed 80-79 with 23 seconds remaining, but AC went 4-for-4 from the free throw line in the closing seconds to hang on. The Trojans made 11 of 12 free throws in the final 2:30. Robbie Seabrook led AC with 30 points and seven rebounds. He made six of AC’s 11 3-point goals. Donielle Davis scored 20, and Joel C. Zimmerman tallied 15. St. Andrews’ Will Livingston scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Knights. AC shot 51 percent from the field and suffered just six turnovers. For the first time this season, the Trojans shot 50 percent or better in both halves. The victory was AC's first road victory of the season. Game Statistics Season Statistics
