CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte shot 56 percent from the field and placed five players in double figures on its way to a 105-79 CVAC victory over Anderson Thursday night. The victory, Queens’ eighth straight, improves the Royals to 11-1 overall and 4-1 in the CVAC. Anderson, 2-10 and 0-5, has now lost four straight and six of its last seven. The Trojans have allowed 100 or more points in two games this season. Queens was led by Chris Benson with 24 points, Spencer Ross with 22, Carlos Andrad with 14, Kedrick Ham with 13, and Anthony Thomas with 10. The game was tied at 14 with 12:03 remaining in the first half. But then Benson got the Royals started with three consecutive 3-point goals to give Queens a 30-19 lead with 7:40 remaining.
