Trojans Picked Second In CVAC Preseason PollOctober 8, 2002
THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- After tying for the regular-season championship last season, the Anderson College men's basketball team was picked second in the 2002-2003 CVAC preseason coaches' poll. The Trojans, who return four starters including the Dynamic Duo of Robbie Seabrook and Donielle Davis, posted a school-record 18 victories last season and reached the CVAC semifinals. The top spot in the poll went to Queens University. The Royals, who had the No. 1 recruiting class in Division II according to Recruiting Focus magazine, received 11 of the 12 first-place votes. Pfeiffer, with no seniors on the roster, finished third in the poll. Belmont Abbey received one first-place vote to come in fourth in the poll. Rounding out the poll are: Longwood, Erskine, Mount Olive, Barton, Limestone, Coker, Lees-McRae, and St. Andrews.
