SAC Launches Comprehensive Redesign of Official Website, theSAC.comJune 21, 2012
ROCK HILL, S.C. – The official website of South Atlantic Conference athletics, theSAC.com, has undergone a comprehensive redesign, offering followers more ways than ever to connect with and experience the conference.
Through a partnership with web host PrestoSports, the new theSAC.com both enhances features of the previous website and introduces new content to better tell the story of the conference and its events, member institutions and student-athletes. The website will be the premier destination for extensive and real-time coverage of SAC athletics. New features include:
SAC Social Arena
The new theSAC.com includes a central social and digital media hub, designed to allow fans and other SAC audiences to connect and engage with the conference and its member schools' various social media platforms.
SAC Student-Athlete Central
As the lifeblood of the SAC, the league's student-athletes for the first time have a feature section at theSAC.com dedicated solely to telling their story. From academic achievements and campus leadership to first-person blogs, SAC Student-Athlete Central offers insight to the daily lives and experiences of student-athletes that can't be found anywhere else.
The new theSAC.com features a unique mobile view, offering users of smartphones and tablet devices a custom-built experience when accessing SAC content.
The new theSAC.com features a scoreboard page to follow events at all SAC schools. The scoreboard and enhanced schedule pages will also serve as a central link hub to live stats, video and radio feeds, offering a one-stop destination for all followers of SAC events.
Member Institution Pages
Each of the 10 SAC member institutions now have their own dedicated page at theSAC.com, including key links, information about the school and a news feed from each members' athletic website.
Through the PrestoSports Network, the new theSAC.com will offer enhanced statistics for each of the conference's applicable team sports, starting in the fall of 2012. The enhanced statistics will feature a user-friendly and easily-sortable interface, and will also update in real time following the completion games.
