April 8, 2011ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson women’s tennis team had its’ two-match win streak halted, as the Trojans dropped an 8-1 decision to visiting Georgia College Friday afternoon at the Max Grubbs Memorial Tennis Courts.
Anderson slipped to 9-5 on the season, while the 26th-ranked Bobcats improved to 13-7.
Freshman Lauren Trumbull defeated the Bobcats’ Kim Lochner, 6-2, 6-3 to provide AU with its lone win of the Senior Day afternoon.
Anderson plays host to league-leading Wingate on Monday afternoon, with first place in the conference on the line. The Bulldogs are undefeated on the season, while AU has suffered just one league setback. First-serve is slated for 2 p.m. at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts.
