Men's Tennis Wraps up Play at USC Upstate Fall Classic

ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson men’s tennis team wrapped up play in the first of two tournaments during the fall season for the Trojans, finishing play in the USC Upstate Fall Classic at the Upstate Tennis Complex.

In singles play, Daniel Gonzalez defeated Furman’s Marco Aru in straight sets 6-4, 6-2 in the opening round of men’s singles ‘A’ before falling 7-5, 6-2 to Davidson’s Ethan Kallick in Saturday’s second round.

The duo of Stan Atema and newcomer Krystoff Galbinovic claimed an 8-6 opening-day win past Kennesaw State’s Michael Langel and Tyler Mills, but had their tournament run ended with a narrow 8-6 setback to Augusta State’s Jenner Stevenson and Jan Labas Saturday morning.

Anderson will get back on the courts Wednesday, when the Trojans play host to Emmanuel College at the Max Grubbs Memorial Courts at 2 p.m.
