
Solorzano and Halbert Named All-Conference
April 15, 2010ANDERSON, S.C. -- After leading the Anderson women's team to one of its best records in recent memory, Angie Solorzano and Julie Halbert have been named to the all-conference team as announced by the conference office late Thursday.
Solorzano was named to the second team after posting a 10-8 singles record on the season, including 5-5 in league play. The Bogota, Columbia, native also recorded a 10-8 record in doubles’ action, most notably teaming with Emily Weiland to go 6-1 at the No. 3 doubles’ flight. She notched a four-match singles’ win streak in late February when the Trojans claimed three wins in four outings.
Halbert, a junior from Cesson Sevigne, France, earned third-team recognition following a season that saw her go 13-4 in singles’ play and 6-10 on the doubles’ side. She closed the season by winning seven of her last 10 singles’ matches and posted a six-match win streak in mid-season. All Conference Teams
