Women's Tennis Falls to Lady Jaguars
February 24, 2010AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The Anderson women's tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision on the road at Peach Belt opponent Augusta State Tuesday afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center. The Trojans (1-4) picked up wins at No. 2 doubles and at the No. five slot on the singles side, with
Marcela Gallegos and Shelby Anderson outlasting ASU’s Victoria Lindquist and Keaton Sanders, 9-7, and Julie Halbert improving her singles’ record to 4-1 on the season with a 6-2, 6-2 win past the Lady Jaguars’ Keaton Sanders. Anderson will get back on the courts Thursday, when the Trojans play host to Conference Carolinas foe Belmont Abbey.
