Women's Tennis Team Has Two Named All-Conference
April 17, 2008ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson University women’s tennis team placed two players on the Conference Carolinas All-Conference team Thursday night. Margarita Aheychenko, a 5-foot-6 freshman from Svetlovodsk, Ukraine, made history for the Lady Trojans. She is the first Anderson women’s tennis player to earn first-team all-conference honors. Aheychenko was 10-5 overall and 7-3 in conference play in singles. Jessica McDonald received honorable mention honors to make the all-conference team for the second straight season. McDonald, a 5-4 senior from Awendaw, S.C., was 9-6 overall and 6-3 in conference play in singles.
