TROJANS FINISH SEASON BY BLANKING FLEET

ANDERSON, SC--The Anderson University men's tennis team did their part in helping the Trojans to hoist another Beville cup, as they won all nine matches en route to a 9-0 blanking of down-the-road rival Erskine College on Tuesday afternoon at Max Grubbs Tennis Complex. After going back and forth on the venue, coach Joey Eskridge decided to keep the match at home, as the sun came out and dried off the courts in time for a 6:00pm start, and the Trojans laid the hammer to Erskine to finish the season at 7-1 in the conference and 10-6 overall. Freshman standout Stephane Murray improved to 8-0 in conference singles play and 14-2 overall. A big win from soccer standout and fellow Frenchman, Benjamin Pepion also helped to lead the Trojans. AU finishes the season in second place in Conference Carolinas competition, and they head to the conference tournament in Sumter, SC with their only conference loss to Lees-McRae still very fresh in their minds.
