April 5, 2009MOUNT OLIVE, NC--The Anderson University Trojan tennis team conceded only one doubles match in the number two postion in route to an 8-1 pouncing over Conference Carolinas rival Mount Olive College on Saturday Morning; freshman standout Stephan Murray continued his debut season success improving to 8-1 on the year, winning in straight sets. AU heads to Barton on Sunday to begin the long and winding road that will lead to the Conference Carolinas tournament. The AU men will play 7 matches in the next 9 days, finishing up with home stand against "down-the-road" foe Erskine on Monday, April 13. The road trip will include matches against ITA #2 Valdosta State and ITA #7 Armstrong Atlantic, both from the Peach Belt Conference. If the Trojan men's tennis team wanted to know where they stand, this week should prove to be that plumb-line.
