Pibernat Named Player Of The Week
March 12, 2008THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Anderson University's Marc Pibernat (10-3 overall, 6-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's tennis Player of the Week during week number four in the 2008 season. Pibernat, who is a sophomore from Calonge, Spain, helped No. 18 Anderson stay unbeaten in Conference Carolinas play with two singles victories in straight sets and two doubles victories with teammate Andres Weisskopf. Pibernat and Weisskopf lost just two games in their two victories. For the year Pibernat is undefeated in singles (4-0) and doubles (6-0) play in the conference and has lost just twice in both singles (6-2) and doubles (9-2).
