Sanches Named CVAC Player Of The Week
April 11, 2007THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Anderson's Carlos Sanches (13-6 overall, 8-0 CVAC) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Carolinas-Virginia Athletics Conference (CVAC) men's tennis Player of the Week during week number eight in the 2007 season. Sanches won his seventh singles matches in his last eight outings to improve his overall singles record to 14-2. He also stayed undefeated in the CVAC (7-0) with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Kerr of Pfeiffer. Sanches won two doubles matches with two different partners -- Stephan Fehske and Jose Augusto Gaspar. In two doubles matches, Sanches and his partners lost just three games.
