No. 2 Armstrong Atlantic Blanks Anderson
March 14, 2007SAVANNAH, Ga. -- No. 2 Armstrong Atlantic State showed why it deserves its national ranking with a 9-0 victory over No. 25 Anderson University in a men's non-conference match Wednesday afternoon. The No. 2-ranked Pirates (14-1) won all three doubles matches from the Trojans, then picked up wins at all six singles spots. Paul Bishop had to go three sets to defeat AC’s Andre Weisskopf, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles, but the Pirates won the other five singles matches in straight sets. The loss drops Anderson to 8-6.
