Georgia College Pulls Out 5-4 Victory Over AU
March 4, 2007MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. -- Max Beliankov of Georgia College and State pulled out a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Anderson's Carlos Sanches to lead the Bobcats to a 5-4 victory over the Trojans Saturday. "It was a really exciting match," said Anderson head coach Rodrigo da Silva. "We played really well in doubles and won two of the three matches. When the singles started, everyone realized it was going to be a long match. Carlos lost the second set, which sent the match to a third set. The match was very intense and many of the points lasted more than 30 ball rallies, but Georgia College was able to pull it out." Anderson is now 5-4. Doubles: 1. Siqueira/Yamauti (GC) def.
