Men's Tennis Team Captures CVAC Tournament Title
April 24, 2005SUMTER, S.C. -- Anderson College dominated Lees-McRae 5-1 to win the 2005 CVAC Tournament Sunday afternoon. With the victory, Anderson, 18-4 overall, earned the CVAC's automatic regional bid. In three tournament matches, the Trojans lost just four team points. Anderson, 56-3 in CVAC play entering this spring, lost its first two league matches to Mount Olive and Barton then rallied to win eight straight conference matches and finish third. The tournament title is Anderson's third in the last four years. Lees-McRae upset top-seeded Mount Olive to reach Sunday's championship match.
