Two AC Players Advance In ITA Event

CLINTON, S.C. -- Two Anderson College players -- Phillippe Magat and Fredric Genberg -- advanced to the second round in the Division II Southeast Region Championships Thursday at Presbyterian College. Magat defeated Josh Brown of Florida Southern, 6-0, 6-3. He will face Sebastian Niedermayer of Eckerd in the second round Friday morning. Genberg beat Dennis Verduin of Lynn, 2-6, 6-1, 6-4. Genberg will play Hector Rincon of Presbyterian in the second round.
