Four AC Players Take Singles Titles At CVAC Event
September 27, 2004WILSON, N.C. -- Philippe Magat (No. 1), Carlos Sanches (No. 3), Srikrishna Ramanathan (No. 5), and Raul Luna (No. 6) all won their respective flights in the CVAC Fall Invitational Sunday at Barton College. The only AC player extended to three sets was Sanches, who rallied to beat Nikola Andjelic of Barton, 0-6, 6-3, 6-0. Magat defeated Brent Ching of Barton, 6-4, 6-1; Ramanthan beat Daniel Graziani of Lees-McRae, 6-2, 6-1; and Luna knocked off Brandon Simmons of Barton, 7-6, 6-3. In the women's bracket, Katie Sexton and Ashley Williamson of Anderson lost in the No. 3 flight doubles final.
