Men's Tennis Team Earns Two Honors
July 26, 2004ANDERSON, S.C. -- The Anderson College men's tennis team has earned two honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. The Trojans were named a Division II All-Academic team by the ITA. Anderson was was one of 16 teams to earn the honor. The second honor went to sophomore Gabor Boczonadi. Boczonadi, AC's No. 1 player, was named first-team All-American by the ITA. He was 14-2, 10-0 in the CVAC, in 2004 and was named the league's player of the year. Boczonadi, a native of Budapest, Hungary, is the first AC player to earn All-American honors since the school joined NCAA Division II in 1999. He finished 18th in the final Division II poll.
