CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Anderson women's golf team is alone in fifth place after opening-round action at the Dana Rader Intercollegiate hosted by Pfeiffer at the par-72 5,830 yard Ballantyne Golf Resort in Charlotte, N.C. The Trojans are three strokes ahead of Armstrong Atlantic and just five behind fourth-place Queens entering Tuesday’s final round. AU senior Sophie Dembroski and sophomore Kalyn Johnson each carded an opening round six-over par 78 and are tied for 11th, while sophomore Laura Buyers shot an 87 to grab a share of 32nd and Hayley Parks posted a 90 and sits in 45th , with Caroline Seymour tied for 57th with her opening round 95. The final round is slated to get underway Tuesday morning.
